Help with tall plants

Can anyone help me, my plants are growing taller tahn the electrical cord that attaches the lights to the base. I am no electrician and am not sure how to extend the cord. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ummm im not gonna lie it sounds like u need to buy an extension cord.....If im missing something let me know:bigjoint::bigjoint:

Personally, I would tie your plants down ever so slightly and start flowering in you haven't already. The flowering process should stunt the growth some and tying them down may buy you a couple of inches. How far along are they?

Sounds like the AG Unit is plugged into the AG Hood. In that case no, an extension cord isn't going to do very much because its a figure 8 connection.

to OP:
If you have an external timer you can just buy a figure 8 power cord from radio shack and plug that straight into the AG hood instead of the base, and couple it with an extension cord if 6 ft is too short.

Also for those who have already bought the external figure 8 power chord, a simple cardboard hanger rod fits snugly in the in telescopic extender of the AG for about a foot of extra grow room.

Yes you are missing something the cord is hardwired into the base and is not a typical plug at the other end, if it was I wouldn't have asked the question
