Help With Ventilation

I purchased a Covert 3x3x7 with California Lightworks 250 (200w) LED. I also grabbed a 4" ventilation and odor control system by HBX. I am hoping to have the fan inside tent (top left) venting out to a carbon filter placed on the floor. I would use opening bottom right to let air in - blocking light. Tent is in a 10'x10' room air conditioned room. Right side of tent is near door leading to rest of house which can remain open frequently. Soil grow

Will this work or must I vent to outside - keeping fan and filter in tent?

Typically we would setup the carbon filter in the tent, the blower can be in or outside pulling air through the filter. You can just exhaust into your air conditioned room since the LED isn't going to make that much heat.

Know that the first time you fire up the filter, lose carbon dust will come through the system, so it's best to do the first fire up outside if you are gonna exhaust into the room.

One of those little tidbits that most (including me) didn't know about when setting up their first indoor grow space :)

Your fan and filter should be inside the tent and you should exhaust to outside otherwise you will run into mild and mildew problems guaranteed
 
You definitely can mount the fan outside the tent but it’s noisy and even just being inside the tent muffles the sound a bit. I do have one tent with the fan set up outside the tent on the wall and I’ve been meaning to change it for sound reasons
