Hey guys, i had 30 feminized SSSDH that i started indoors until they were about a foot tall.. i transplanted them outside. I was watering them when i felt they needed it and were very healthy. I moved 2 hours from the location so i havent been able to check them out.. however. it rained 7 days in a row and then went 5 days without watering.. so my question is, are they ok? Im going to visit them this weekend to feed them. And also how often do they HAVE to be watered and fed in order to survive. since they are in the ground i wont have to water as much... right? this is my first grow btw.

They should be fine, but will probably need water soon depending on what the temperature has been in your area. You can get away with giving a large plant about a gallon a week and it will survive. If its really hot, then you might need more. Watering once a week should do it. Twice at the most. Just give the girls a nice big drink when you go that way you know they will be fine. It also depends on the plant itself, some girls drink more than others. Of course the bigger the plant the more it will drink. Trial and error will show you exactly what works in your grow spot. For example I had to feed a 7 foot white rhino, 1 gallon, every 4-5 days for it to be happy. It was pretty hot, and that was when mother nature didnt water it for me.

That's amazing. I've found in extended hot summer weather (95-100°+) my in-ground and large container plants require 35-40% of hole/container volume every second-third day. And that's with 2" of mulch covering the grow medium.

I said it could be more depending on weather. 95-100 degrees plus is very hot, so they will need a lot more water. Also I said that they would survive with that much water, not thrive. They will need more than that to grow to their full potential, but its going to be hard for someone to take that much water to that many plants. Unless he comes up with some sort of watering system coming from a nearby water source. Saying there is one.

That's why most successful guerrilla growers here hire young guys who can help pack mule loads of soil amendments/water into rugged terrain and live with the crop during late flowering through harvest. LE specifically looks for grow sites near easily accessible water sources.
