Hi I am doing my first indoor grow and everything seemed to be going fine and I looked at my flowers today and some of the white hairs are turning brown. I am on day 27 in the flowering cycle so I know its still way early. I tried to take pics but I have a cheap ass camera that you cant make anything out on. Can anyone help?bongsmilie

Some strains have hairs that turn brown early, but that doesnt mean the buds r ready. It could b that they are burning either from heat or chemical. Have a look if it is just at the top then its the light, but if its all over then chances r ur chem's r too strong. Check ur PH/EC levels if possible. Do a little research man, and u will find that a mature plant requires alot less food and u can burn them easier.
So yeah, check em out n let us kno a bit more n il c if i can help u further.

I dont think my light is to close because on all five the browning is not on the top bud, as far as burn I am using b.c. nutients trying to go 1/2 strength, but I have also never checked my ph (i know stupid) but It never had any problems outdoors without doing so but I also used Earth Juice, was gonna try hydro so I got the b.c. nutes but chickened out and decided to go soil.

Could b that ur soil has a build up of salt in it. I had a similiar problem wen growing indoors in pots. I was using Coco Nutes and lots of additives. I had burning on my pistils as u have, n the next step was my leaves curled under quite severely, then half of my best plant died, then the whole thing went.
It wasnt until after i ripped it out i was able to see the culprit throughout the pot..
Even nutes at half strength can b too strong if u r feedin nutes every day. How often do u run just pure water?

To get rid of salt build-up u will have to flush ur system, if its soil, try adding 2L of straight water 3 times a day, then dont water again til soil dries up a bit, then repeat process once more, this should clear any excess u have.
I u dont have anything to measure PH then ur best bet is to Boil ur kettle, let it cool, bottle it (til u have enough) and use that to flush ur plants with. Its a lil bit extra work, but worth it to save ur plants.

hmm, sounds like ur doing everything right then man, sorry i cant b of more help.. the only other thing i can think of is try a search on deficiencies, feeding half strength every 3rd day may have them deficient in something. There r obvious signs like black spots and yellowing etc for the big chemicals, but then they r smaller more subtle signs for secondary chemical deficiancies..
