i accidentally sprayed a little pH down water on my leaves!! They have developed white dead spots! This is my very first time growing and I don't know what to do. After the first day seeing those spots, I decided never to use that stuff and bought some sulfur, which totally lowered the pH immediately and worked perfectly. I think the spots are getting bigger, or maybe they've stopped, but I am so scared! Can someone please help me? What can I do? Is it going to get worse? :wall:

Do yourself a favor and stop spraying the leaves period. I'm not sure what you mean by you sprayed them with some "PH Down water", but it sounds incredibly stupid.

No more foliar feeding, feed from the soil. I have accidentally gotten PH Down on my leaves and it did the same thing, but it was like one leafe I accidentally dripped on.

The leaves that are damaged will probably get destroyed over time, but leave them alone as long as you can. You might wipe them down with some soapy water, but that's it! The new growth will come in happy and healthy and those leaves will deteriorate and fall off.

It was stupid, but as i said, its my first time growing, so i made a mistake. I had been doing foliage feeding with my regular nutes as well as the soil. just a mistake. as long as it will recover, i dont have to go shoot myself. thanks.;-)

Brotha its a growing and learning process you are not nor was tha "incredibly stupid"...Im sure at some point in time we have all done something "incredibly stupid"......that said dont ever PH your leaves up or down.....Ph your resi...that shit is incredibly strong and will kill your plants quick...resi only.... As far as foliar feeding are concerned...obviously never with PH solution and you gotta be careful cause your plants absorb it well...better less than more...I dont foliar feed...

The only thing my leaves get is a good misting (straight water) once a day right before lights on (top and bottom sides of leaves).... They love it!

I apologize, I thought you meant you sprayed PH Down or a solution of just water and PH Down on your plants. I shouldn't have said "incredibly stupid", it was 4:30am and I was upset about something else. Poor choice of words and I don't usually attack new growers who make mistakes. I sincerely apologize.

How much PH Down was in this solution? If you just PHed a whole heap of water and used it, it shouldn't be that bad. I adjust the ph of my water before using it for foliar feeding. I've never had any ill effects from doing this. But I don't foliar spray often, only cuttings that are rooting. I find that most of the time when people are foliar feeding, they are "over loving" their plants. It's more for the grower than the plants as they don't need it. The grower just feels the need to be doing something.

PH adjust the water that you feed them with (in the soil) and check the runoff from the pots every couple of weeks. If it gets a bit high feed with lower ph solution if it gets low, do the opposite. Should be all set and the plants should show new growth and be just fine.

i just used about 2 ml of pH down/liter along with my nutes (av grow 1+2) and sensizyme. i usually water my plants with a mister, so i do the entire plant top to soil. i had forgotten that i put the pH down in it and when i realized it, i washed it down with fresh water. they began to develop spots the next day and i was so upset that i just tossed the whole solution, when to the store, and bought some sulfur. that worked immediately and now the pH is just a little too low (5.8-6.5). better than 10! lol. thank you for the apology. you are cool in my book, dude!:bigjoint:
