Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey got a white fly problem been having it for a month or two now. I went and got some insecticidal soap to take care of em, so my question is should I apply the soap and rinse the plant off during the light cycle or dark cycle?????
I need some serious help on this guys... ANY FEEDBACK WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
