Help!!!

My plants (northern lights, big buddha and bubble gum) are two and a half weeks from seed in 3 gal and cup containers. They are turning yellow. I use a combination of 50% top soil/peat moss; 50% miracle grow micro max potting soil. Get NPK (.21, .07, .14). Ferts are 15-30-15 for foilage and 24-8-16 for watering. I water every three days plus mist the foilage. I will fert every 2 weeks at 50% plus water with carbonated water. The fans are on low (attic fan also) and blowing 18/6 and lighting is a T5 on 18/6 at about 4" away. The lights are horticultal and show on the blue and red spectrum. Temps during the day are 80-92 and at night drop to 70-72. What am I doing wrong? Why are they growing slow? Can I add banana peels to the soil for future soil richness?

Severely stunted for 17 days old and i would say fucked, probably due to the high temps ,soil with no perlite and overwatering, there is no way plants that sick and tiny in those size pots need watering every 3 days ! .Maybe you could salvage 1 or 2 if you stop overwatering and get temps under 80.

Thanks. I think I will water every 2 weeks. Also bring the temps down a bit. They grew from seed, so at 2 1/2 weeks that is a good growth hieght right? From my understanding...marijuana is a weed; weeds grow in just about any temp besides anything less than 40 degrees right?

Thanks for the response. The temps wont harm them too bad right? Weed is exactly what it is- a weed! It should grow in warm and humid weather correct?

Mr. Ganja says they are "severly stunted". He does not realize they grew from seed! From what I know they are at good hieght at 2 1/2 weeks Right?

*BUDS is correct, the growth is stunted for 2.5 weeks but don't give up on them yet. Some plants just grow slower than others. Here is an example of other 2.5 week old plants so you can see the difference:

The best thing you can do for them is get rid of the MG soil and repot in some rich black soil with lots of drainage AKA perlite. The roots need a combination of air and water to grow properly, soil that is too moist or thick can stunt plant growth. Also never mist your leaves with anything but pure water. Even then only mist them at night, water droplets can create hotspots for the light and burn the leaves.

Technically yes it will grow in any climate, but we don't just want them to grow we want them to thrive. Cannabis thrives at 75-80 degrees farenheit and around 40-50% humidity. Sativa dominant plants grow better in hotter climates 80-90 degrees is no problem most of the time, but indica plants prefer the cool air and anything above 80 can also contribute to growth stunting.

I am installing an 1500 cfm with thermostat. That will definitely lower the temps. Plus activate so CO2, vinegar and baking soda

What's up, Joker? I don't grow now, but back in the day. You can use your finger to check moister. Just push into the soil about 2 inches... if it feels damp, wait another day or two. Also, your foliar spray is really hot. I would go with liquid organic food... just much harder to over fert with organics, and plants utilize them more efficiently. If not, go with same amount of water, but cut nutes in half in foliar spray. Only foliar about once every 10 days and add about 1/4 teaspoon liquid kelp. Between regular feedings, you can spray leaves with plain water if you feel they need it. When you foliar spray, always do it as soon as lights come on. Re-pot! Re-pot! Re-pot! You need better drainage. I would use 1 part Peat Moss to 2 parts Perlite. With your 3 gal. buckets, that's 1 bag Perlite and fill the rest of container with Peat Moss.(Mix All Together Very Well) If money is tight, just buy Perlite (about $4 for 2 gal. bag @ Wally World) and mix your existing soil with Perlite @ 1 part Your Soil Mix to 2 parts Perlite. I see the holes @ bottom of buckets. (Hempy Style Buckets) Use this ratio with those buckets, and dial in your water/feed sched. and plants will take off. Didn't mean to be so long winded. Hope this will help.

Joker, after looking @ your buckets again, I see the hole is @ the bottom... so not really hempy style buckets. If your hole was about 2" higher from the bottom, it would create a reservoir @ base of bucket. Roots would eventually make it there and be fed by nutrient rich water almost like a dwc hydro system, only no moving parts to bother with. Wasn't sure if you were up on hempy buckets so thought I would add that. Good luck.
