Herm help!

So i got these blueberry plants. I was sicker than shit during flowering and the ph of the deep water culture was at 8.5 when i got back from hospital and they died shortly after from neglect. There were no males, but the stressed dead herb seeded. Now i have huge beautiful blueberry plants in my eb flow table grown from those seeds. All the plants are females, i got no males. My understanding is that this is because they are 'feminized' being from a plant that hermed. I am 100% positive they were never exposed to any other pollen. My problem now is this. I grow 4' 4' eb flow trays with 1k watts each, veg and bloom. I dont want to dedicate a tray and 1k watts to plants that i will need to constantly watch for herms. I also dont want to kill these beautiful plants. I was thinking of flowering in soil so i can move them around for the herm check. Do i even need to be concerned? I did not clone them due to herms so it's just these 6. Maybe go DWC buckets if i dont need to check for herms?

The only advise i usually take is from a few college educated horticulture\biologists because so much advise out there is not just bad its wrong. The only one i've talked to on this issue doesn't seem to understand the issue that well. Maybe a breeder will have better info?

thanks for ur time

I am no breeder but the way I understand it is when a hermie self pollinates, all the seeds will be female. This is because all of the pollen will have X chromosomes. The sex of seeds is determined by the pollen having either an X or a Y chromosome (all of the unpollinated ovules are X chromosomes). Since the hermaphrodite is genetically female (XX chromosomes) it can only make X chromosome pollen. So in essence you can only have feminized seeds from a hermie. I hope this answers your question.

it does somewhat. I was told that i will have to watch the plants grown from those seeds for herms very close the whole 8 weeks. I'd like to design an area for them if im going to have to watch very close.

thanks

also was wondering what is the difference between herm, intersexed and self pollinated or are they all the same or is all the info out there BS and its all wrong i duno! Sometimes its easier to find bad info than good, especially with a culture that has been underground for so long. Here in Northern Colorado its getting a lot better tho as far as public opinion goes, we've always had chron smoke.
