Hermaphrodite seeds? Worth it?

I have a really good strain of sour diesel, bag seed find from my medical provider. She is about 4 months old and 14 days since light change to 12/12. Unfortunately she is a hermaphrodite. This was going to be my last grow in my house before my wife and I put the house on the market come spring. So not worried about the residual pollen left In the room.all about getting a crop of seeds. So the question is, is it worth it to let the sour d grow out and produce seeds? I’ve read both good and bad about keeping herme seeds. But since it’s my last grow for awhile I wanted to get something out of it. And, she is huge, topped several times, takes up all the light space for my 600w. If I do grow it out for seed how many pretend colas should I leave up. How much seed will it produce? Any ideas on how to change and to what feed regime

A self-pollinated plant will give you about 80% herm/male seeds.
A female pollinated by a herm will give you fem seeds.

You can pluck off the male flowers (every day) and avoid (a lot of) seeding.

i found reducing to 10/14 hours light stopped one of my plant producing pods
ive grow allot of shitty seeds and it is not worth your time
i found picking off the pods just makes the plant grow more

Yes, I would run the crop. It will be seeded, oh well.

You'll have some flowers and some seeds.

What some have found is that the intersex tendencies aren't as expressive in progeny.

Others might say the seeds will all be intersex or hermie or otherwise worthless and I'd some issue with these claims.

I wouldn't suggest making any long-term breeding plans with the plant.

However within context of your situation I see nothing wrong with harvesting some flowers while self-seeded. This sets you up for some seeds for another round.

People that are broadly stating that your seeds will all be intersex either know something I do not or have never actually done this in practice.

Worst case; next grow you sprout these seeds and a month into flowering they're showing intersex as badly as your sour d. Which might still yield you some seeded flowers of decent smoke.

At that point I'd harvest the flowers and get some better seed stock. Or if the smoke is worth the intersex headache keep on keepn on.

Within scope of what I'm getting at, if you want some flowers, I'd go for it. If scope priority is in making seeds, then get your flowers and seeds to 'play' with but these likely are not for future projects at least if you plan on selling seeds. Then again ... people do what they do.
