Hi All,
I have issues with my babies :~(
Noooooo...
I had 3 x Fem Cheese, 3 x Fem Great White Shark & 1 x Fem White Widow when I started out, I switched to 12/12 just over 3.5 weeks ago & about a week & a half ago I found what looked like seeds on the WW. I removed & destroyed this baby straight away & hoped for the best with the rest :~)
I have checked them daily ever since & everything appeared fine but I have just come back from a weekend break & 2 of the GWS's have gone hermi :~( They have some seed sacks growing (only 1 or 2 sets on both plants) & one had an open banana which had the little yellow chilli looking things all hanging down...
They have now been destroyed... Boo Hoo :~(
I have checked all the others & they seem 100% female but I guess it is only matter of time before they all go this way due to the pollen getting out whilst I was away.
Such is life I suppose, I have accepted my fate... but my question is, would you continue for another 5 - 6 weeks and see what you get or would you chop & start again?
I have grown these babies from seed so have been lovingly caring for them for 8 + weeks & it seems a shame to chop. I had a hermi on my last crop & only noticed the seeds a few weeks before harvet, it was actually ok, only a few seeds in a small percentage of the bud but it was not quite as good as it could have been. I'm not sure exactly when it hermi'd, but assuming quite late on as it had fat buds with a yield of 3-4 Ounces.
These new ones have gone hermi quite early on in flowering so I am worried that the seed to bud will be more hassle than it's worth & when a plant hermi's it puts it's energy into different directions than producing buds, so I will have a small yield.
Is it worth it?
Mmmmmm?!?
Any thoughts welcome...
Thanks
