Can plants hermie all the way through flowering? I assume if they're going to hermie it's best off doing it towards the end of the flowering cycle rather than the beginning of it.

On purpose? I recommended making her go hermie a weeknir two after you START your flowering cycle. So that by the time she's done her seeds will be fully developed & more likely to be viable.

Making her go hermie close to the end mite make her hurry her seed process & you mite end up with premature seeds.

Oh no, not on purpose. It’s just my grow area isn’t the most light tight or secure area you’ll see so I always have the possibility of it going hermie on me every time it goes to sleep but touch wood thus far she hasn’t – I don’t know why though. Everyone here is pretty adamant about it being 100% dark but mine has some large cracks so not 100% dark.
I’m hoping because the light conditions have been constant since flowering her though that maybe she is use to it? So maybe she has built up some sort of hermie proof resistance… well up to this point anyway. I’d just be gutted if she hermied out on me. Been flowering what about 4-5 weeks now I think. She is growing well and not showed any distress about the light.

has this light leak been there her whole life span?? If so then she's prob used to it. The same way outdoor plants are used to a bright moon. If your 4-5weeks in her buds will eeither produce seed sacks or your just gona get buds. Doubt she's gona go hermie mate.

Yeah she has had this her whole life span, so yeah I do hope she is just use to it and will flower through as per norm. Thanks for the reassurance matey.

buy a roll of black tape or caulk or whatever ya want to use thats lightproof, your plant/s are gonna hermie all over the place and also pollinate any other female u have.

I've grown a test plant with a light leak & she didn't hermie. But then again it wasn't that bad, little less then a flashlight lumen output.

Has this light leak been big enough to alow you to see the plants color during it's dark hours? If so then obiously those are lumens of lights that are kickstarting her sugar making process so she prob gona hermie.

Basically she is ‘enclosed’ primarily with mylar… only 2 plants… one is auto that’s almost done… they’re covered by 2 sides of the wardrobe and the 3rd and 4th sides have mylar draping down and then the wardrobe doors are closed. However, the draping mylar, although I try to make sure it’s as light tight as poss, when the lights are still on inside the grow area, you can see light coming out from the gaps in the mylar (quite a lot) and also when the wardrobe doors are shut you can still see SOME light escaping although not much. A lot of it is rebound light off the mylar. Also every morn I have to get my stuff out my wardrobe but I’m very careful as to open just one side to slide what I need out. So yeah, she’s never getting any direct light but she will be getting light leaks through I’m sure. I can’t see her getting any more light than she would do from moon light though.

If your sure it's less then a full moon equivalency then I'm sure she's used to it. But play it safe & do what you can to decrease these leaks like DD420 mentioned. goodluckman.
