Hey guys! I’m new at growing and new to this group. I could really use some help!

Hey everyone. I’m glad to be part of this community. I’m new to growing and have some questions to ask. I successfully germinated my seeds, and moved them into a solo cup to start growing them more. I noticed my stems are bent and the leaves have not opened yet. I’m not sure if my plants are too young and I’m impatient, or if I did something wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

You are extremely impatient lol. Why can't I smoke this yet????

Just messing with ya.

But ya. Looks normal to me.

Within a day they should be open.

You may have to carefully pull that junk off tho if they don't open up.

It appears that the membrane inside the seed shell is attached to the cotyledons, preventing them from opening.
Mist them with water to soften the membrane and it should come off with a little gentle help with a toothpick.

thank you very much. I’m going to try this out now

thank you, I’m happy to be here. I wanted to use regular red solo cups but unfortunately I live in a college town so they are always sold out. Dang kids playing beer pong lol
Amazon, toss some in on the next order, always good to have on hand.

Seems to be growing really slow. This is what mine looked like at germination.

This is because I used a BLUE solo cup. Remember this.

Also, make sure your solo cups have plenty of drainage holes in and near the bottom.
