hey roots supersoilers, what extra stuff do yall do to your base soil?

after reading threads (esp. nugbuckets) its seems like a good idea to cook up your base soil by adding myco and vermi tea and some bti. To be clear, this is the soil used for seedlings and for filling in over your supersoil after transplant. do you add a big ol bag of worm castings to the base soil for shits and wiggles? or would that choke up the base soil too much and make the baby girls unhappy? signed, Curious in Crapsville

your base soil is your roots right out of the bag, theres no need to cook it or add anything too it

cooking the base soil is a good idea. sometimes roots gets delivered to the store a little too "fresh" for my liking, and its pretty easy to smell when this is the case (smells like actual shit instead of good compost). being that roots is very well rounded to begin with i dont see the need to add anything to it to be used as a base, and plain water with a few weeks time to sit is all you need to give your microbiology a head start. Using tea instead of plain water will not hurt anything, but its not something i do myself.
