Hey guys,
I'm happy to have joined this place. Lots of great info and lots of helpful people on these boards.

I'm currently setting up my first serious grow in my closet, and can't wait to share my journey with you guys.

The last piece I need to finish my setup is a 400 watt HPS but havent found any great used deals yet. So I am currently looking at some new lights.

My question is; Does anyone have experience with the HTG brand of HPS/MH lights? They have some pretty awesome prices. I am currently looking at this model 400 watt HPS
any advice would be really appreciated!

Welcome RIU Babsasf! HTG is right up the road from me. Havn't purchased lights from them as of late, other supplies yes.

My first lamp was refurbish from Inside Sun, 400 watt . Have grown a few pounds with it, not bad for a total invesment of $130.
They have some nice lamps with Hortilux bulbs in them, would give them a look.

HTG has had fires in both of there locations PA and in FLA. They do have euipment that is not UL listed so keep and eye out for faulty chinese gear.

Yes, i bought the 400w house special light. I think it was $130 but i added the larger reflector, and a mh/ conversion. Its a great system, i had a little trouble putting the reflector together. But i was drunk. For the price, you cant go wrong. I think it also has a 3 yr warranty on the ballast. Def a good buy. 5/5 stars. Good luck! Welcome to RIU...
