Hello nice people. I'm 45 and my name from now on is LemonThai. I live, work and vape in London UK.

I had never tried marijuana until my first visit to California last year. It was love at first sight, what else can I say. Sadly here in the UK (or at least in East London) it is hard for me to come across with really good quality weed. After smoking, vaping, dabbing and eating only exceptional quality products for 6 months in Silicone Valley I think I can really tell the difference. Since I don't have any hobby at the moment I started thinking about growing my own. My goal is to grow only to satisfy my needs for proper herbs. I must say that I'm a total newbie in any sort of growing. I am at the stage where after watching hours of YouTube tutorials and reading forums I have more questions than answers. So I'm here hoping that with your help I will be enjoying my own properly dried and cured harvest really soon.

Hi lemon,

Nice to here from you, I'm based in the UK as well. This place can be a great help for new growers but I would recommend you have a browse of the sub forums to try and get an idea of the threads and little communities that would be of most interest and help to you.

I've been growing for a while and can help you with basics, feel free to pm or tag me (using @ then my username) if you need anything.

Your growing requirements are very similar to mine. With the correct equipment, genetics and a commitment to learning the basics of botany, I'm sure you will be growing as high quality mj as you were smoking in the states.

Hi what part of silicone valley were you @ i grew up in Cupertino. i now live in NW London. good smoke is hard to find in the area.
but you can grow good smoke yourself. if you do it wright you can harvest every other week. i use to grow in nor cal. if you need advice PM me and ill help with what i can. start with soil its harder to screw up. get a 1000w or 2 600w lights a fan and good soil. you can buy organic nutrients. when your veg the light stays on for min 18 hrs. and when you switch to flower then reduce light to 12 hrs you should be good. and if you want to clone then that's easy as well.

@mp08 I usually hang out in San Jose. Naglee Park (not far from SJSU). I've heard a lot about Cupertino as a nice spot with good schools. Yea, as I said before. I struggle to get decent stuff too. My problem is that I don't know right people. Folks from my circles don't smoke weed and probably would think I've gone nuts if they knew I'm planning on growing my own :). I will definitely PM you if I'm stuck on something.
