Hi! I’m MrSTLgrowing and I’m starting my 1st grow. Come follow me as I turn an old room in the basement to a newbieOP.

I’m excited for you guys to see my growth as I have no former knowledge or experience in cultivation. I bare all in detail and include all the funny fails you would expect from a newb and success that happens purely by “dumb luck”.

Can't wait to see this build out. You going to take down that wall on the right hand side? Looks rotted from the pics.
I'm halfway through a basement rebuild, so these pictures are bringing back some not very fond memories! :bigjoint:

Good luck and keep us updated! Any plans so far?

Ive got build videos and a different approach to the old wall. :bigjoint:
Being that you were the first commenter would you like to see the first phase of the op?

Awesome. What's your approach if you don't mind me asking? I love watching build outs like this.

What's the dimensions of the area?
Let's see the first phase! :bigjoint:

Looks way better. When I tore the framing down I had about 100sqft where they painted the concrete with black roof tar. It looked a whole lot worse than what you're working with.

What did you do with the floor? Almost look like you put down some self level or just sealed it in with drylok or something but can't tell.

Is this the flower room or are you gonna build a flower and veg room? Tents? Can't wait! bongsmilie

Things go well in basements in my experience ! They are generally cool, with materials used your not gonna have heat issues unless is really hot and your producing too many btu's !

Is that a concrete ceiling ? Well floor for upstairs but it's a ceiling in a basement lol sorry to ask as never seen one like that in a domestic setting myself. I'm uk and I've seen loads of buildings from places there not usually seen from !
The ceiling is concrete yes. This is actually an old coal storeroom.

Things go well in basements indeed! Just dialing in on these:
Air Circulation
Heating/Cooling
Humidity/vpd
Light
Automation

What are your thoughts on these bullets? What would you add?
