Hi, I'm new and need some confirmation on my guesses :)

So this is my 1st grown, indoors from seed to plant. Using LED's and some CFL's with a strain called Critical Mass from BigBuddha.
It's day 31 and the plant's been showing some symptoms. Some of the symptoms were caused by the wrong PH when I started nutes on day 24 and i'm also guessing that the nutes were a bit too strong at first. The soil in use is Miracle Gro potting up soil mixed with 30% perlite and the nutes are Miracle Gro All-purpose.
Now guessing it was ph and nute problems the last watering was just ph'ed water so should be getting that problem sorted, hopefully.
But there still seems to a problem that i can't be able to wrap my head around. Is it just some leftovers from the dried water on the leaves or what is it ? :)
Temps is fine around 75-82F and humidity is 60 max. pots are like 9L and have holes drilled in the bottom. Only water when the top of the soil is crusty and dry.

tl;dr Is it nute and ph problem and what's the white crystalish cover on bottom leaves ? Overall the plant seems to be happy imo.
Sorry for being a newbie and not doing more research, but for me it seemed to be many problems at once and I wouldn't want to get it wrong.
Thank You for any help at all.

Ps. also had some light burn, but that only affected the top leaves.

I'm currently trying to finish out my first grow...MG has time released nutes.Read your bag if you still have it around...continuous feeding for 6 months!! Lay off the MG nutes...I made the exact same mistake and have been chasing my pH, dealing with lockout and having constant problems!! I'd say flush it real good using plain pH'd water. MG nutes are not cannibus friendly...good luck

MG nutes are fine, im using full strength nutes on my babies and they are beautiful and growing wondrrfully!!
mind you, i did start at half strength AND i use mg cactus and citrus tree soil with perlite, its great
dont listen to what everyone says on here, sometimes they just have had a bad experience with something but that doesnt mean its not to be used/done!

Buy a ppm meter and a ph meter or combo, measure the water coming out after you water, if ph is below 5.8 or over 7 you need to flush your soil with double the pot size of ph 6.5 water. If ppm is over 1000 then you will have issues, you should be measuring the ppm of the nutrients you add and depending on what part of the process (veg/flowering) having a ppm of between 200 and 1000. Growing is a live and learn process but there are ways to skip learning through failure. Read read read friend, you will become a great grower in no time. Temperature can also be the cause of your problem, temps over 90f or under 60f can cause nutrient uptake to be locked out. Some growers drop there temperature below 60f late in flowering to get there plants to turn purple, this is just one example of nutrient lockout and most lockout is not beneficial to the grower. Grow on brother, spend a few extra bucks on the meter's and save yourself sine trouble til you get a handle on reading the plants needs by sight. Also ditch the MG soil next grow, try for something like fox farm happy frog or another name brand growing medium that does not have time release nutrients. Those time release soil's are meant for outside gardens or indoor house plants, not for growing something you are eventually going to smoke. Those nutes in your MG soil will make your nugs super harsh and fuck up the flavor of the herb. This is just some helpful info and criticism, I hope it helps!

I agree with slinger. Buy good meters and test often. Also agree on the soil. The only thing in there should be what u put in. Temp sounds ok as long as you are monitoring the canopy and not just the ambient temp of the room. The temp under the lights can be 6 degrees hotter than the ambient temp. Good luck.

@nova nice lookin girls u got there, keep up the good grow :) as i said, got to recheck them nutes, maybe mg isn't that bad. But just some extra lurking will probably help me understand the situation a bit better. The one i bought is an all purpose liquid one. Guess the main issue was that i should've used a bit less and ought to have remembered to check the ph... Cheers for the input ! :)

@slinger i bought the cheap ph meter which works atm. After messing up the 1st nute feed i re ph'd the next patch and after feeding checked the outcome water. It was around 6-7 so no need for flush atm. Will be getting a proper ph and ppm be4 my next grow, becase will probably going for hydro. Eventhough it will probably be even more challenging, but atleast there wont be issues with getting some pests from the soil. + hydro's better for autos.
Temps fine atm so dont see any problem with that. Ill recheck them after a easy flush, probably was the nutes that scared them.

Also the ph/nute burn problem is second matter atm, qos found out that got some thrips aswell. Which is going to need my first attention. Which is also a reason im thinking of going for hydro next time. They wont have the soil to hide in then...

@west ye the temp meters at the same height as the canopy so should be fine with that :)

The OP is using MG All Purpose Nutes with MG soil which has time released nutes already in it. Im new to this myself, and made the very same mistake...and have researched enough to know that's not a good combination for these girls. Your ladies are lovely and clearly your feeding program is working for you.
A more experienced grower can recognize problems and make adjustments before they get outta hand where us newbies need more of a user friendly regimen.

every plant will be diff too.
some do good with lots of nutes and some do really bad with lots, etc
learning this stuff is fun so making mistakes is ok

hey, been observing the plants for the past few days and feeding them only with water. Until yesterday - when I used a very mild solution of nutes just so the plants wont get any deficiencies until I manage to get the nutes set up better. On the thrips part i sprayed them with a garlic and onion solution to stunt them bastards a bit until the neem arrives.
The neem arrived today, but during my observations in the past few days them white tiny buggers seem to be gone :D But just be sure I'm going to spray with a mild solution. Also ordered some yellow sticky traps. So I should be set up good for any future encounters with flying insects.

Although I seem to be getting the situation under control, there is 1 thing that raises some questions. When looking at the bottom leaves there seems to be that the previos yellowish nute burn dmg has turned into brown and is all crusted up. Is it just that some of the leaves that were damaged are just dying off ? I'd show a picture of the markings, but don't have the camera with me anymore...
