You have all been a big help! I'm from the U.S. but stuck in Qatar, Finished my 4th grow about 2 months ago...Probably going to start the 5th soon as I decide on strains. As with all my grows these are purely personal for myself and one friend, gotta be paranoid here!!!
Grown:
Early Durban
Unknown Sri Lankan bagseed
Mix ED and Sri Lankan (damn hermie!)
Nirvana AK-48
Nirvana Mystery Seed
While I definitely consider myself still a novice, things have been getting pretty damn good as of late...my setup has evolved quite nicely.
I use a 5x5 tent and 400w HPS/MH (Switch Veg/Flower).
Always soil, can usually pick up some good materials to mix but you definitely aren't going to find the best stuff here.
Normally use Fox Farm nutes (they are just easy!)
This last grow was definitely the best of them all, started with 12 ended with 5 VERY nice plants, had to "weed" them down for space alone. Friends have been quite impressed.
Not bad for an aging hipster...lol

On a side note, I will be in Orlando for a conference Feb/March...could really use some info if anyone is willing to pass some along (GOTTA have some for the "Bright Eyes" concert in March!!!).
