Hey there,
I am wiring in a 12 light HID controller and never gave a thought to buying a disconnect. Now I'm having second thoughts. When installing the mini split I immediately did however buy and install a disconnect. The disconnect is code (outside in public view) and if something were to happen to the unit and I needed a professional to diagnose the issue their safety would be in check. In my house the previous owners never hooked up a disconnect to the oven or stove range--50 amp. I had a guy from sears come out when their was a problem and he didn't refuse to look at or service it? So, am I being nit picky dragging the build out needlessly? What set up do ya'll have for HARD WIRED 240V HID lighting controllers.
THANKS
