hid vs t5

my set up is 1 450w and 2 175w hps bulbs for budding, this is a good setup for 2 to 3 plants, the problem is the electric bill is a little higher than i would like it to be, what i was wondering is if i got 2 2ft 4 bulb t5's to replace the 2 125w, would it help lower the bill and most important is would i continue to get large and tight buds?

If you are using less watts your bill will be lower, obviously. But probably not enough to make much difference.

you would only save about 50 watts cause the 2 ft 4 bulbs are 89 watts each.

If you're only growing 2-3 plants you could flower them under the 450w by itself.
That much light isn't cost effective for that few plants.
You may have to get creative and tie them down but the 450 alone is more than enough light.

ok so the cost of the t5 will not be worth the savings by any means, i think a good idea is to unplug one of the 175w's and make a judgment call from there, i realy like the tight buds, but if i can get them with less light and electric that would suit me fine
