i have been doing this for years. a friend of mine just got busted by the meter reader and i wish that i told him how to beat the bill.
dudes first off i have am a master electrician . but all that you need to do is go outside and flip the meter over. thats right if you turn it upside down it runs in reverse, flip off the main breaker in your service panel. then a few times each month go outside and flip the meter over. dont be stupid and forget to turn it right side up before the meter guy comes by.

so basically you're saying steal power instead of justifying a high usage. now taht's bloody stupid.

unless you're using a handful of 1000w'ers, then what's to be worried or paranoid about? you can't get a search warrant put out because you use lots of electricity. i have around 1.5kw of gear sitting at the end of my bed, the police and electricity people a. do not have sufficient evidence based on this alone to do jack shit, and b. do not have the resources to hedge a guess that this building is growing dope and it's not just that he has a heater turned on or a big computer or a large tv or loud speakers or yadayadayada

one of the fastest ways to get popped.....STEALING POWER!! Thats what I hear anyway. In todays world of high tech bullshit that runs 24/7 and sucks major juice, hell you could have a house full of gaming systems and pc's!

The new style meters dont do it.My meter however is 20+ years old and I do occasionally flip it and wash everything in the house,kick on every light.just to get a little back.I only do it on weekends.I figure they make the cost of the KWH.They tend to make it higher certain times of the year.So I take it back.I would never run for a long period because theywill see the loss in youre hood and do an investigation and see where the power is going.here in houston they find em all the time.These guys are real genius's half of them are growing near schools.Give the rest of us a bad name.

ihear they can just hook some tool on the hydro wires ,two tools on same wire and it can tell if any disturbances or whatever and pinpoint where its from,I wont jack electricity just want to know how dudes friend was popped???????????

ok been out on a job. but first off you motherfuckers that think stealing electricity is gonna get you more time than growing a house full of dope you are idiots \. in this state anything more than 10 pounds comes with a instant attempted murder charge. and more than 20 pounds is a 20 year minimum. no plea deals no first offense leniency nothing 20 years your gone. steal some power you get 1 year max in county. my friend got busted cuase a nosey meter reader saw a large jump in the power over a short amount of time. you dont steal all your power. just enough to keep yourself off the radar long enough to ease into the power usage that you need. any one that reads into my post that this is how you get out of the electric cost is a fucking idiot. just a little here and a little there can keep you out of prison if you dont get stupid about it. i promise any of you fools that get busted with a 50,000 watt grow you wont even be charged with ripping the power. any one that would even cosider stealing power over a couple plants. are not to bright.

hummm lets see. the penalty for ripping power is less than getting busted growing so its ok to do? What about when you get busted for stealing the power then a judge wants to know what your stealing it for and signs a warrant and now you have 2 charges? Doesn't sound like a good plan. And just what is turning off the main breaker in the house going to do? You still have a hot side at the meter that will kill you in a flash. If you have electric questions dont bother with this guy. Look for a guy named Iamstoned on the site. He knows his shit and will answer all your questions.

k tippy i will explain how you get busted for power usage. the cops gotta warrant from a judge for suspicion of drug manufacturing house. because the homes power usage increased monthly bill went from 70 dollars to over 400 dollars in three months. you see here in America the number 1 tip that leads large pot grows is a high power bill. meter readers here are trained to observe and turn in power bills out of the ordinary and yes if your new stereo caused a large enough increase in power they would be busting down your door weather you said you approved or not. and most importantlly all that i have said is that this is a option for those that could be busted.
and thats all i wanna say about this shit. i'm not in jail . and if this keeps 1 person free good.

pluto that is the most ridiculous explanation i have ever heard...pay your electric bill and dont spike it all up in one month when you start. The power companies dont give 2 shits what you are doing as long as you pay the bill. As for your buddy... suspicion of drug manufacturing house...he was busted for a reason other than power usage. 70 - 400 bucks increase over a 4 month period is not enough to get a warrant for anything. There was definitely another reason.

just to back this up. when i took over this flat, the previous guy had a laptop and a 32" tv, nothing more. i moved in with over 1kw of sound, a pair of 42" tv, sa 32" tv, 3 sets of additional 5.1 surround sound, around 5 computers, 800w of grow lights, and the police sure have kicked my door in over this massive jump, oh no, that's right, they didn't, i paid my bill without issue on time...

next thing we know we'll be getting busted because for some reason there's never anyone home to sign for the courrier.
