high humidity vs high temp...which is worse?

I have a 3x3 tent that gets very humid at night. sometimes so humid that there is water on the leaves in the morning if i don't have the fan on. even with the fan it hits 80%. i found a bit of mold a few days ago and again today. the buds are big and in week 7. i went and got a dehumidifier but wasn't aware that they pump out so much heat. lights are off now and the temp in there is 92F.

what problems can be caused by high night temperatures? My top buds (where i have my thermometor sensor hanging) are about this temperature all day. but right now I'm guessing the whole room is that hot. during the day it is not.

what do i do here? high temps or high humidity at night? humidity during the day is fine because i open the little flaps and let air into the tent. at night i can't open those flaps as it would let light in during the morning hours, i do however have blankets covering the entrance to that room but light still gets in quite a bit. i wasthinkg of maybe just loweing the humidity in that room, but the tent is so closed off that i dont think it would matter

high humidity = bud rot ! throw it away now and save your time electric . these buds will get or grey mold in the insides of them you might not even see it until you crack it open . its trash . high temps ok up to 90f with a fan running . humidity over 50 in flower your totally fucked if you don't have a lot of ventilation a shit lot of fans running 24/7 you have a chance you don't meaning your fucked . your humidity is 100 % it will bring every form of mold from white powder to the evil mold I spoke of . seriously get it under control today or just toss it .

okay well i found a few spots where i found green worms living in the lower buds. the area was deadened, and the bud stem istelf inside was like gushy. and totally fucked. in every spot liek thsi i found webbing and a worm inside. and i wasnt sure if it was webbed mold, or worms orboth. found about 8 spots like this, about 4-5 had worms living inside the spot. some had webbing, but no worm. but then on one of the main colas, it looked the same, i opened up that cola and looked inside, looked just like rotten buds. there was no webbing, but mold had started on the surface. inside the bud looked rotten, but not a lot of it. and the stem was fine. im not sure if i should cut a chunk of that cola out and let rest grow, or just take the whole cola off, but its big and has so much good bud on it. the lower buds i removed.

so based on what you told me just now i think ill leave that humidifier in there. but what exactly are the risks involved with high night temps?

toss them my advice its already to late . you could get them even to 10 % humidity and it could grow and look good . but you will still be smoking that mold this could get you sick or worse . it depends what strand of mold some are not toxic some are . I am going to tell you toss it start over . don't want to see any body get sick .

Not that it's directly relevant to OP since his bud appears ruined, but I flower in 60-65% humidity and I've never had a problem. I do have excellent ventilation and AC so the temps aren't getting up to 92, but I didn't want anyone to get the impression that humidity over 50% is always a problem in flower.

Yep, as others have said, High Humidity is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH worse than high temps.

High temps = foxtails, airy buds, and possible hermie....

High Humidity= throw it all away. Then tear down your grow site and completely clean every single thing with bleech or other mold killing chemicals or you end up getting bud rot/mold in every grow that has buds thicker than your finger.

Yep, but problem is, the very first time you get it (which you will eventually with that high humidity) then you are fucked and you will get it over and over and over until you strip down and clean and kill all the mold spores in the carpet, vents, walls, etc.

I have been told (cannot verify myself) that 91% alchohol will kill mold. If you go throw and pick out the least screwed up buds you can make ISO hash with it so you atleast have SOMETHING to show for it. I would not use any buds that are definitely affected though.

Trash it ,start over. Control humidity. They grow weed by the ton in Mexico where it's like 100F every day. Humidity is the problem.

i have a tent, so it shouldnt be too hard to clean afterward. my house if flooded as shit, the humidity is nuts. we have had rain here non stop all summer.

Well, just save this post so you can come back to it one day. I was probably 12 years in when I first got hit with mold, then I had to fight it every step of the way. Now I don't let my flower room get above 50% and if I hit 50% I start kinda freaking out.

this morning my flowering room was 74% humidity according to the cheap guage i have hanging in there..the humidifier showed 95%. I quickly brought it down to 50

Blast it with butane or make rso. These are the only safe uses. Smoking mold can straight up ruin your health.

Get some small sharp precise scissors, Like those cosmetic ones chicks use.

Inspect every single inch of the plants for any molds.

If you find any mold carefully cut it out of the bud, then use a q-tip and dab bleach on the spot where you took the rot out, this will kill Spores left behind.

Make sure to either wear gloves and change them often or wash your hands lot so you don't spread spores around.

Once you have mold set in like you describe then your pretty.much stuck.with it.for.the.rest.of this.grow, all you can do is treat the symptoms and ride it out and.hope it doesn't kill your.whole crop.

Make hash or oil so you don't smoke.mold

He's wrong, spores are everywhere. They are impossible to eliminate. You just keep your environment straight and they will remain dormant.

Spores and mycellium are mostly microscopic. You're just killing the stuff big enough to see. It's still there, everywhere.
