High temps in LED tent.

I just put my LED's (420w) in my tent as I will start 12/12 next week. 36"x20"x6'. So its been in the high 90's all week here. Room temp 80 but inside the tent is 90 and its only 8:25am. I have a high powered computer fan pushing air in at ground level. A small fan just above the lights and another computer fan drawing air out of the tent. Any suggestions in getting my temp down? Was thinking a fan on the floor of the tent to push air up and away from the plants but wasn't sure this would help or if I had room.

Please help.

Go to your local home depot or lowes. Buy an induct or "induction" fan. flex tubing same size as your fan. electric tape. and the cheaper 120v orange extension cords.

Cut the female end the the extension cord off, peel back the orange insulation, you will expose a green, white, and black wire matching your induction fan. Splice these together with your electrical tape. make sure you wrap each wire with the same thickness as insulation you stripped off. Once all wires are spliced, insulate them together with the same thickness of the extension cord. and you should be good. 60 - 200 CFM fans are best.

try and pull air from below a window, or A/C

total cost ~50$

Thanks for the input. Ill look into this if I can't make do with what I have. It topped out at 91 in my tent today. Which is not good but it is supposed to be a little cooler next week so I am hoping for the best. I am running about 8deg higher than room temp. Plants showed to signs of stress so Ill keep an eye on them.

When I go 12/12 in the next week or so I think I might have the lights run at night when it is cooler outside. Maybe do like 9pm - 9am.

I'm having the same heat issue but just have sliding mirrored doors. I it's an ok sized closet but with a 1000w hps, only two fans, and no proper venalation it's kinda starting to suck.. :/

thinkin about buyin one of these

or maybe this guy

even though falls will be on the way soon anyway, just wondering if anyone has used either of these with or without venting and what the results were?

use the intake fan as a second exhaust and that will definitely help....passive intake is fine
you can also try running your lights at night when is cooler

in my tent im using two fans for exhaust and none for intake...i just let the air flow through the flaps on the bottom of the tent....i have one 4" duct fan exhuasting the tent only and a 4" axial fan venting the cooltube which is also pulling air from the tent......my temps in the tent are the same as the garage with lights on

So how are the LEDs with heat? i had thought that they were lower than even cfls?
Obviously 80 isnt too awesome for ambient but still 10 degrees higher?

420watt LEDs will still generate a good portion of heat, especially if they are for flowering, as they usually have some IR LEDs to actually raise the temps haha. Best bet is to immediately position a fan on the floor blowing up into the tent. Just make sure your floor is relatively clean so you not blowing dust onto your plants.

For a more permanent solution, get a inline fan and the appropriate duct and either suck are from the tent out or push air from outside in depending on your room temp. If you room temp is higher than 75, you will need to bring air from the outside in or invest in an ac.

wow you have way too much power for that small tent! you would have been fine with a 280watt LED! Thats a big part of the problem. I once used a 400watt MH in a 2' x 2' x 4' tent and without a fan, the temps would reach 105-110 in a matter of minutes. With a fan I could get it down to 75 but only with an AC. The tops of the plants still burned :(. I had to use a screen to shield my plants lol...man i was such a terrible grower haha

Well I did some moving around and added two fans on my floor and my tent has really dropped in temps. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Here are a couple pics of my girls entering 4 weeks of vegging. They might look small but they are LST to stay kinda short
