High Times Magazine, Anyone Read?

I'm tempted to pick up a High Times magazine just to read something different. Anyone recommend it?

I'm sort of nervous about buying it though

might buy it in a different city...

theyre okay, i find these websites more useful

dont be scared its a magazine, it doesnt come with a sample of pot in it.

i read high times proudly in the bookstore but it is becoming worthless anymore.

Just like every other magazine nowadays, more advertisement than content. At least the last time I saw it a couple weeks back. The pictures a there, but you can find more information here at RIU than HighTimes.

my dad used to traffic mass amounts of marijuana, and the feds caught on to him because he purchased grow lights in high times...

he ended up serving 3 years...

Don't be scared to read a magazine!! In the 80s it was all about coke and meth and stuff. Didn't even talk about mj. More and more med states too so it really isn't a big deal to read it. Don't be stupid but don't be scared.

The internet is way better for info though. HT is a bit behiend on info and also one sided to make you buy from their sponsers but its all good for people looking for a good starting point.

You might not want to have it sent to your pad if you are growing but i hear that it is send in a brown envelope. The new issue comes with rolling papers too. That is like 2 bux at the store so it makes the mag worth it. I also like how they have the centerfold, they make nice posters.

I would actually reccomend SKUNK magazine. It is a lot more 'down to earth' with all their info and I like the writers better. They have more of a sense of houmor and more of an 'attitude' if you will.

WEED WORLD is also good. It has a lot more pages to it. It is from the UK so take it for what it is worth. It seems like the UK scene is a little bit behiend the Cali scene but its all good, good info nonetheless.

Canabis Culture is also another one. It is from Canadia. More on the political side some times but really well written. Very intelligent. The thinking stoners magazine.
