I am in love with my 100% sativa, but only yeilding 1/4 lb per plant indoors, so am getting ready to start growing outdoors at 1500feet elevation in the mountains. But I have heard that indica grows better than sativa at higher elevations. Does anyone KNOW what type(Indica, Sativa or hybrid) will give me the best yeild without sacrificing the excellent quality of my very popular Hawaiin sativa? Is it even true that my 100% sativa will not do so well outdoors at the 1500ft elevation? Also, since all my experience has been indoors (with great success I might add), I need to know particular techniques regarding how to move seedlings from indoor artificial lighting required for seedlings/veg. state to outdoor lighting, since the veg state is obviously 12 hrs on at min. indoors while waiting for the frost to be gone, and when putting seedlings outdoors in the spring.Obviously the sunlight in the spring is going to be shorter than the time the artificial light is on during the sprouting and veg indoors. How due I overcome this weird transition for lighting?Should I just plant seedlings in ground outside after the frost is gone, or is there a way to get my plants started and veged while waiting for the frost to be gone, thereby allowing the plants to grow a foot or so before planting in outdoor soil?
Any advice for my first outdoor grow at this elevation is appreciated
