You could beat it for quality and quantity bend it over and have it any which way you want it for that price.

Wana elaborate on that??
Lol sounds good . But where n what.
How can i beat it. I mean it sounds like ur saying hlg is rippin ppl off as u can defo make better for same price?

How about matching them at less?

Just an example but you could buy
24X of these strips

1 of this driver

Obviously double check all your voltages etc against strips and drivers you will use in the end.

but together the total comes to 300ish pounds. So that leaves you 600 pounds to get aluminum heat sink, some wiring, connectors, boxes etc .

Seems too good to be true? @MidnightSun72
If that matches a hlg600 howcome i cant find much about them exept "newb makes frist led"
Lol

Not sayin ur wrong but hows the marhs look?
And a link to a diary using 1 ?
Evwryone seems to buy the lm301b chips etc and ive nit seen these before ?

Always told if ita too good...its aint true.
Now i can get aluminium heatsink almost free
So that makes the projects under half price from hlg?

Im about to replace my hps at £60 a bulb so thats almost a pannel there.

@welight @fragileassassin what do you 2 think id lobe to hear u led scientists chime in

Lol dude I am not gonna argue the merits of a strip with you. I don't really care. You find the grows you like and see what strips they use and buy those strips. You can do a similar Samsung diode build probably for under 400 pounds.

Figure out how many lumens or ppfd you are looking for and work your way backward and figure out what strips fit your grow space, ppfd, efficiency, budget, and growing style.

And you probably can't find many builds with those strips since they were new in mid 2020.

Hlg have kits available, IIRC people talk about it being 40% cheaper than prebuilt...
The HLG kits are cheaper than the complete light, but the build is different. The chips, driver & heat sinks all the same but the diy version comes with a shorter warranty & the wires & connectors are much better on the complete light. I bought my 600R complete w/ 5 year warranty during their October sale last year. The sale price was comparable to the diy price.
