hey guys, let me start out by saying this community has been a ton of help and i appreciate every reply.

ok so i started these guys avout 2 months ago and they went through a small growth spurt for about 3 weeks and then they started to grow again.

now im not sure what i should do with them, i would like to just let mother nature take her course but being in northern US im not sure if its going to get too cold too fast for me to let them flower naturally.

so i have a couple questions.

1. should i bring them inside for a week or 2 to start the flowering process? and if i do will i be able to put them back outside?

2. should i cut the tops off them so they branch out, i did this with one and it shot out 2 branches, i just dont want to wait too long to trim them and i would like to get the most out of them i can.

3. i put some coffee grounds on the top of the soil and covered with some grass clippings, i read that the coffee grounds were a good source of nitrogen and that during veg stage they need more nitrogen then other nutrients. also with the coffee grounds, should i still add some nuts to the plants, i havent fertilized much and think i may be under fertilizing because i dont want to harm them.

i do have another thread on here with pics from a few weeks ago so you can see the growth, ill try and look for the tread and post a link.

like i said i would like to just leave them (as far as putting them into flower stage) but i am anxious to see if i have any females and i also want to give them a good amount of time for bud development and im afraid that when the days get short enough to naturally put them into flowering stage it will get too cold for them too fast and i wont get a good yield.

ill put pics below

the third pic in is the one i snipped the top off right uned the newest growth, i did this because it wasnt growing much for leaves down the step so i was hoping it would bush out the plant a bit, did it about 5-6 days ago and only have the 2 new sets growing.

also as you can see some bugs are eating the leaves a bit, i wasnt overly concerned because they still have alot of green but should i be concerned, i mean they arent eating alot and i want to stray away from using pesticides on them

well how cold will it get in the next month or two? I live in Canada and I flower my plants until the first frost of the year, then harvest them the day before, or after the frost

How many hour of daylight are they getting? Absolutly use nutes, I am using Fox Farms Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom and am very happy w/ the results. Use Neem Oil for insects once every week or two to get control of the insects. They do look very small tho, They might be root bound in those small containers too!

dnt wrry about force flowering let it do its thing it should start flowering in the next 2 weeks, dnt wrry about the cold either what i would recommend is if theres a frost warning which the weather channel will display these things or it say its to get below freezing overnight, go at sunset and take some garbage bags and cover ur plants up,, this way ur plants can finish w/o u having to harvest early

i thought they might be getting root bound but they seem to be growing daily now, they were stunted at first (6 weeks and hardly any growth and talles plant stood a mere 6 inc tall) but then they started shooting up about 2 weeks ago and have been growing decent since.

any advice on trimming them?

I wouldn't bother trimming them now, you're too close to the onset of flowering. If anything I would say to do a light LST to the main tops this will allow more light down below which may encourage some side shoots. But I really would not cut the tops at this point, it sounds like your plants are in their final growth spurt before flowering.

yeah i went out this morning and found one of my plants had a flower pistol ( i think what do you think) they are small but i will get some buds off em, they were just bag seed anyways, next grow i will make sure i plant right into a 5 gal bucket so they have enough room cuz i think most of my problem is they are in too small of buckets atm. i think im going to set up a grow room indoors anyways seems to be the way to go.

was going to post a pic of pistol but SD card is bein lame.

next year start em in plastic cups-2-3 weeks then to 1 or 1 1/2 gallon pots, for 3-4 weeks then to the final pot whether its 5, 7 or 10 gallons, this way u will get a nice root ball going
