hello everyone. I've been checking out this site for a while now and was curious about some lights i saw today. at home depot they have 90 watt/18watt, 1510 lumen cree light bulbs, 3000k. would these lights be in any nway comparable or better than cfl? not a grower just love the herb. one day though.

thank

I use about half a dozen of the 100W Cree bulbs on my mother plants. $60 of LED lighting and they seem to love it. Grow right to them.

1500 Lu is not to be sneezed at,

I agree there's something here

as most cfl's round here are at about 1200 Lu

good luck

1500 lumens for 18W is ok but is under 100 lm/W...

walmart has 4 packs of the osram 14.5W 1500 lm bulbs for $25

check out the brightstik thread.

all of these run hot as hell if its pulling 18W its prob a smoker

if its the a19 style bulb with the plastic diffuser lose that shit and theyre much brighter

par38s have the glass lens and are ok i guess. the a19s seem to be cheaper and more efficient

I have some 9.5W 800 lm I'm about to remove the diffuser with a dremel cutoff wheel unless you have a better suggestion?
