hi all im new to this forum but not new to growing,,

on a few of my grows i had thrips in the early stages of veg due to crappy soil,,

so after much research i devoloped my own bug killa

it comprises of

5 cloves of garlic crushed
1 teaspoon washing up liquid
10 crushed chillis
1 teaspoon of 70% isopropyl alcohol

crush all the garlic and chillis up and put into a mixing bowl then add washing up liquid and alcohol ,,then a litre of water leave there for 24 hours.
after the 24 filter through muslin cloth of tights then put the fluid in a spray bottle and spray all the plant,,leaves and underside of leaves ,,,everywhere lol
and cover your growing medium with sharp sand to stop them getting back to the soil,,.repeat process every 4 days and will be gone in under 2 weeks 100% GUARANTEED

i know it works on thrips i havent had any other bugs

hydrogen peroxide in rainwater that makes it so much more effective than tap water when given to plants. With the increased levels of atmospheric pollution, however, greater amounts of H2O2 react with air-borne toxins and never reach the ground. To compensate for this, many farmers have been increasing crop yields by spraying them with diluted hydrogen peroxide. You can achieve the same beneficial effect with your house plants by adding 1 ounce of 3% hydrogen peroxide to every quart of water you give your plants.

It can also be made into an excellent and safe insecticide. Simply spray your plants with 8 ounces of 3% peroxide mixed with 8 ounces of white sugar and 120 ounces of distilled water. Note; To make the spray, Start with a gallon of distilled water. Pour off 8 ounces of the distilled water and save. Put another two cups of the distilled water in a pan and heat. Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved. Put the 8 ounces of 3% hydrogen peroxide and the sugar water in the gallon jug with the distilled water and mix. Now you have one gallon of insecticide for your plants. Mark container clearly
