Well as the topic states this is speaker box that ive made from scratch, I thought up of the most stealthiest cabinet i can think about and i put it all together. The cabinet measures in at 40" in height, 20" wide & 20" in length, I am going to be using a 250watt Metal Halide for veg with my ballast outside the box.
Let me move onto the pictures & do the explaining.
Sisalation(reflecive stuff) has been attached to only two sides, still busy with the rest.
This is a plain picture without the grilles attached, it looks a little messy on the top but this is because i havent screwed the top on properly due to the light not being put on yet, plastic corners like the bottom will be attached on the 4 corners on top aswell.
This shows hows the finish look will be, note i havent fixed the grills on yet, i am making a plan to make it look like there's a speaker behind there & ive just come up with a plan about 3 hours ago : ) new pics to come soon!
Getting to the intake ports, you will see i have placed them nearly in the middle of the box in front, these are also 4" ports which i will be ducting a little so i can curve a 90 angle for a light trap. On the other hand, i would like to leave the fan part to you professionals, what would you gents suggest for that ?
As seen from these pictures you can see the front and the back, maybe you wondering why's there's nothing attached to the back except the bottom piece but i have attached the picture of what i explained concerning the extraction from the two 4" ports which are placed at the back on the top as seen below. Note My door will be placed in the middle at the back, i am still constructing a nice way of getting some hinges so that nothing sticks out.
now for the big question : What would you gents suggest? > ( A ) I cooltube the light with one extractor fan pulling the air out to the one port THEN using the other port beside it with a mounted home made carbon filter extracting out ?, however i do have One 75mm port infront of the box on the top at the same height as the two ports extracting which i was thinking of using but at the same time thinking of closing. ( B ) leave the cooltube out, Use my reflector & mounting that i have, mount two carbon filters on both ports extracting, perhaps even extract with the 75mm port too ? Sound is not an issue as long as it doesnt go way over 50 db's, my computer will be place close by to disguise the sound in a way.
Here's a close up of the two 4" port holes that fit onto the back, This is how it looks from the inside.

This is the lighting fixture as described and seen, 250 watt Mh/hps switchable ballast with my reflector and the e40 bulb holder mounting.
I will be placing the ballast in a metal box outside of the speaker box.
I know this is a quite a big light for such a space but im planning on making it work, i would really appreciate help from you guys on this!
Yesterday i attached the lighting fixture with the 250 watt metal halide, i drilled to holes on the underside of the top panel of the speaker and placed the mounting with the wire going outside the box leading to the ballast, this was just a little test i gave a shot, yes this might sound odd but after i placed the light i put on the middle door temporarily then i put on the panel as i showed with the two 4" ports on top, so basically it looked like it was closed up like it would be if it was finished, i have a zalman pc fan about 80 cfm's & another coolermaster fan at about 50 cfm's i left the light on for about 4 hours with the fans running, no intake fans just two extake like i explained, 4 hours later i felt the box and temps seemed to be at about 30 - 35 degrees celsius i think in Fahrenheit its about 90 maybe 100 ? So what you guys think? maybe get another 80 cfm extracting and putting two intakes would sort this out ? Im no expert on fans and all but im just trying to give an idea. i know you guys can help me on this, i aint doubting it !

Down below i attached a picture of my other growing media, Bio-Bizz Grow , Bio-Bizz Fish Mix, Forgot to put the picture of my Diamond Nectar, Bat Guano, Syringe for nutes and 4 small pots even though i am considering growing 1 blue cheese feminized seed that i have from big buddha.
and with the last pic, my vermiculate & i hope im correct "Coco peat bricks".
I hope i have explained everything in enough detail, i will really appreciate any help that you guys can offer, if there's anything ive said thats stupid or out of line, even if it doesnt make sense please let me know about it,ask or tell me anything! thank you guys&girls! happy smoking it up, one love peace out !
