Hey everyone!
I'm a brand new grower and this is my very first post. I started a seed of Afghan Kush Ryder about 11 days ago for growth in my closet. I germinated her in a shot glass, then moved her to soil using some "Expert Gardener Potting Soil" as a medium (I really don't want to mess with Hydroponics and all that stuff). I was using two lamps with two 40w full spectrum fluorescent lights, and I thought that would be enough. Some water with a couple drops of lemon juice to bring the PH to a good spot (roughly 6.8, as I've seen is recommended for soil mediums in most threads), and I've been watering once every 2 to 3 days.
Well, around day 7 or 8 I noticed that she was starting to stand pretty tall, which I observed online was probably because she wasn't getting enough light. I watched a grow video and saw some of them standing tall, so I wasn't too concerned about it. However, I got back home from thanksgiving break and things got worse. She was standing at 5 1/2 inches (third set of leaves just sprouted), and MAN she was tilting really hard. I packed some soil at her base to get her standing tall and upright again and switched to a couple of flourescent bulbs that have an output of 840 lumens and are the equivalent of 75w apiece (but it only uses 19!). She already seems like she's doing better, standing at a little less than 5 inches since I redid the soil, will probably water her tonight (she hasn't been watered since Wednesday evening). What do you guys think? Good fix? Is she gonna be alright?
