hot tub air pumps for dwc

hi a buddy of mine heard from a veteran dwc grower that hot tub air pumps are the best for dwc. he said they create a ton of air and quieter than any of the mainstream high output air pumps sold at hydro stores. have any of you tried this or heard about the setup procedure? thanks

My hot tub is loud as fuck lol. Sounds like a decent idea if your reservoir is large enough you need that much oxygen. I don't see any reason why it WOULDNT work, I just think it could possibly be a bit overboard. I have never tried this so I'm not speaking on personal experience.

Ya hear all kinds as to what is better less air, more air Iv'e even heard of no air pump at all. Obviously it all work to some degree. What is best I couldn't tell you. I use an 80 watt pump for 4 5 gal buckets with 2 4" stones in each one. Makes lots of bubbles and works good for me. Good Luck Good Grow
