OK so this bill is to force "primary caregivers" to register their grow site, get a license, etc. Well after reading through the bill it is my understanding that it only applies to "caregivers" that care for more than five patients or grow more than 30 plants. Is my understanding correct, or will every caregiver have to register? :wall:

Its my understanding that all caregivers have to register, even if you have only 1 patient. I would be more than happy if you could prove me wrong.

Straight from the bill bottom of page 2.
The bill creates 2 new classes of medical marijuana licenses:
! A primary caregiver cultivation license, which gives a
primary caregiver who has received a waiver to serve more
than 5 patients or who grows more than 30 plants at a time
the authority to grow medical marijuana only for his or her
patients or for the patients of another primary caregiver, if
the licensee has been delegated authority over the patients.

Yea that's what I thought too tokeythebear. After consulting with 2 attorneys, there is a clause in there that applies to ALL caregivers going forward, for even 1 patient.
I suggest you check into this yourself, and I would do so through legal channels. It's a pretty important change for anyone who is a current registered caregiver, or is planning on becoming one.

That is what i was thinking, there is only one paragraph, it is not real specific, but probably specific enough that they have another charge if you are not registered with the state. I imagine CL is gonna be full of equipment soon, better start watching for that controller now.

Sadly, it's for all of us. Even those that have small number of patients and plants (trees). The wife and I are resigned to growing our 12 and dropping our patients. Time to shop around all the MMC and see who has the best membership benefits.

Sad to hear but thats how Co seems to want it but i dont mind ill grow my own smoke my own and when im out ill have my MMC just incase

Don't believe so, but will be soon. If this really requires even caregivers with under 5 patients to register...im going to say fuck it and just grow for "myself" with my 24 plant rec. There is no way in hell im giving my op address, and allow unannounced law enforcement checkups.

Im closer and closer to hightailing it out to cali.

yeah this is getting out of hand. My husband and I are probably relocating there in the middle of June or start of July.

My thoughts exactly. Oh and btw...still not signed by Gov. Hickenlooper, and a team of pro MMJ attorneys is petitioning the governor not to sign the bill. Sooo it still might not happen I guess, it's up in the air still.

I see people posting about just growing for themselves after this, but aren't you still required to disclose your grow location if you do that? Or does the new law not pertain to people who are only caregivers for themselves?

from my understanding, patients with 6 plants or less don't have to register their grow. Just keep your red card on hand and you should be good.
