heres the situation, i have a nice big house to grow in right now and iv been loving it, however now its time for change and im going to move. so i have 6 plants that will be too big to flower in this new place (about 1-2 month veg already. good size plants) i dont really want to throw them away so my first thought was heavy pruning. i topped and took about 1/2 the mass off the girls but they just going. the plan was to take off the top 2 node of the stalk every week or few days till i worked my way down to a managable height. problem with this is the massive stress i know im causing so i started to think about the great outdoors...
so heres the info. a few mature plants in 5 gallon smartpots with a thriving micro-biotic ecosystem in the root-zone, would these plants tolerate cold if i were to put them out in early march? hoping that maybe with a good deep rootzone the dirt wouldent be as cold that deep and maybe it would make it better off? the farmers alminac claims a fair chance of 2 mild frost days after march 5th here where the temp could be 30.
plan was to just plant the smartpots and walk away, the roots would get out into the surrounding soil very quickly. the stalks of the plants very from the thickness of a pencil to about my thumb.
any thoughts or feedback would be great
