How big can a male plant get?

Just curious. I was looking at the Mendo Dope Boys' plants and they are gigantic. I've always read that, as long as you give them the space and the nutrients, female marijuana plants will just keep getting bigger and bigger. I mean, okay there's probably SOME kind of maximum size, but the point is, they can get HUGE under the right conditions.

So, what about male plants? Not much discussion about them, outside of the seed breeders, who pop hundreds and hundreds of seeds when they do their selections. I imagine that a breeder would probably want the largest male plant, too. But how large is large when it comes to male, marijuana plants?

*I'm not interested in anything related to automatic flowering cannabis plants or their hybrids, for this discussion -photoperiod marijuana only, please.*

The biggest I have seen was about 12 feet tall, and it had some girth as well! This was in OKlahoma. Most breeders are looking for aroma and structure in the males they choose, I believe. Cannabis plants planted in the ground outdoors easily get well over 10 feet tall without any special effort. West coast growers learned to maximize size to meet plant counts, 15 ft plants are not as fun to care for, but you can still get high quality flower from them.

I've seen hemp plants that are 15 feet tall (easily), but those were all pollinated female plants. I've never seen a giant male plant, specifically, though. And, when it comes to useable/smokeable marijuana, I've only seen males that are relatively small.
