you should try to leave your plants in complete darkness for atleast 1-2 days right before you harvest.
If not already sticky there isnt much your going to do at the end to change that besides flushing with molasses and as previously mentioned a bit of darkness before cut. I am curious what others say but I would think it would already be sticky if it was typical of the strain

It's in the genetics mostly.

I know that some are just stickier than others..

Take this one for example - finishing up right now:

Northern Berry Berry. If I lightly touch the buds my fingers feel like they have pine tree sap all over them. It's insane. I can tell it's going to be a bitch to trim up - but in a good way :D

So yah.. if you want really sticky-icky buds start with top knotch genetics.

Your best bets for trich covered buds:

1. Start with good genetics- you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
2. Feed correctly and lots of fresh air of better yet properly setup with CO2
3. 12 hrs of intense light from a high quality HPS (Hortilux EYE Super HPS) is a decent bulb. The plant defends itself against UV rays by coating itself in trichs.
4. Cooler temps during lights off helps emulate the fall season. Remember you are trying to duplicate mother nature...a tough act to follow but not impossible.
5. Lower humidity during flower is also key. 20-30% should be tops. Veg side needs much higher humidity levels.

Follow those 5 simple steps and you should be on your way!

What is the wattage over this babies? And at what distance is the light?

To me it seems that they need more light for more time.

there on 12 12 400wt hps,, about 2 ft from tops cause they were starting to yellow the tips , these are also clones not from seed, but is there any one nute that i can get that will frost em up..i wana make them super frosty..? any advise?

Metal Halides are known to output a LOT of UV. a lot of UV = more resin. The last week or two of flowering switch back from HPS to a MH, you will get a resin explosion.

I also time this with Foxfarm Cha-Ching soluble nute boost, it is specifically for "essential oil production" in the last week of flower

I've never heard of the dark before harvest, I'll have to try that
