After waiting a week and observing the trich transformations from clear to milky I've decided to harvest the top half of the plant, leaving the bottom half to finish for another week. The top half has nearly all milky trichs, a few clear, no amber.
I noticed that the top buds haven't swelled in over a week. The bottom buds seem to be continuing to swell and they still have some white hairs, but I'd say that they just are not ready, yet. I may even let the plant continue for another 10 days if it doesn't show signs of stress from having it's top cut off. I'm expecting about 22g from this little plant. It wasn't the runt in my group, but it was the fastest. I did 4 different strains and about a month into vegging, my timer broke. I was operating the light manually and didn't think that I probably was only awake maybe 15 hours a day. About two weeks of doing that and I noticed my buds were starting to flower. Only my blue widow and white widow seemed to have reached a point where their lower branches was growing with the tops of the plants.
Meanwhile my leshaze and oregon blue fruits only had their topped branches grow out, while the lower branches only got about 5 or 6 inches long. I didn't want to stress the plant that had already spent two weeks flowering, by revegging, so I figured what was best for the plant was to continue with the flower. This one did alright though. I could have easily gotten twice the weight on it, but didn't let it grow out to it's fullest potential in veg. live and learn mirite?
The rest of my plants are at least 3 to 4 weeks off. With at least one plant giving me a little something, something, for the last month wait, I'd like to assume that the next few weeks will go by a lot easier. I'll post some pics of the tops and the bottoms for you guys to see. The tops look righteously beautiful while you would agree that the bottoms needed a bit more time.
