I have several plants going under a 400w MH, about a month and a half old, all from some decent bag seed. I plan to take clones from four of the most desirable phenos and keep them vegging under the MH. Hopefully at least one of the plants the cuttings were taken from will be a female. I want to eventually move all the origional plants outside to flower. I will keep track of them with labels to tell them apart So i know which clones are female, and get rid of males when identified. My question is this. Looking at our local sun table, it says it wont go to 12/12 till mid september and gets pretty cold here by October. If I start my plants on 12/12 indoor then move them outside, will this shock them too much? And what if I move them out in mid august when the light to dark is more 13/11? I found a great open spot in the woods with a ridge next to it. It gets great early exposure and a good amount throughout the day. Then when the sun gets further to the west the ridge shadows this spot and its dark at least an hour to an hour and a half before sundown. Think it would work if I set them to 12/12 at the beginning of August indoor and then transplant them outside mid to late August? That would still give em six to eight weeks outside before frost concerns. Let me know what ya think, I'm pretty new to this so any feedback is greatly appreciated!
