How Did College Education Become So Ridiculously Expensive?

Nutes and Nugs

i think about 93-94% of people looking for employment have it, and about 25-30% of people have college degrees.

so your ridiculous hyperbole is a bit (read: way) off.
I'm missing your point here Bucky.
93-94% have what? while 25-30% have college degrees.
College Degrees?

the unemployment rate is somewhere in the 6-7% range last time i checked.

that means 93-94% of people looking for employment have it.

or, as you so ridiculously put it "no one has a job".

and about 25-30% of people have a college degree. or, as you so ridiculously put it "the whole country has college degrees".

as always, your analysis is severely lacking in reality and high on idiotic right wing country bumpkin wisdom.

if you actually had a case to make, you wouldn't have to lie and exaggerate to do so.

bucky is, as usual, using semantics to "prove" his narrative.

the OP blithely declares that theres been 200% inflation since the 80's based on the CPI numbers, while economists and government bureaucrats continue to mutter "what inflation?"

meanwhile the official unemployment number is "7%" while the number of people desperately trying to get a job at mac burgers or walmart continues to skyrocket.

inflation, unemployment, "income", the tax burden, government expenses, the deficit and the national debt are all measured and reported by the same assholes who are responsible for the problems they are expected to measure and report.

if you make booze manufacturers and distributors responsible for measuring and reporting alcoholism and drunk driving crashes, shockingly enough, those problems will be solved overnight.

it's the magic of bureaucracy.

redefining a problem can make that problem disappear.

who are you trying to convince of this? are you just speaking from personal experience when talking about desperately trying to get a job at walmart?

if you make booze manufacturers and distributors responsible for measuring and reporting alcoholism and drunk driving crashes, shockingly enough, those problems will be solved overnight.
you make a very convincing case for why we should believe philippe rushton in a debate about race or roy spencer in a debate about creationism and science.

i would never be caught dead citing either in a respective debate, but your decision to do so was brave, and answers i seek from you about doing such are wisely ignored, even studiously so.

the finest intellects like galileo did the same, i am sure. you're quite a bit like galileo, right?

Because the government keeps giving out loans at almost no interest that you do not have to pay back until you stop going to school. But you would not understand that...

Government loans
the main factor is the government is paying for it.

dude where have you been? 6% is not exactly "almost no interest" considering this is for education and to make our country better..AND you almost cannot get an interview without a degree and/or no more than one year out of work (which is completely discriminatory).

At this same point in time before the 2008 election most folks who didn't keep up with politics closely had not heard of Barak Obama.

His biggest claim to fame was a speech at the 2004 Democratic convention.

I think he was still a state senator, getting ready to run for the US Senate.

My point is that you cannot honestly believe that somewhere, there isn't someone who is a republican that is capable of being a great politician.

The last great politician that had a r next to his name was Reagan, the democrats have had two since then. It might not be 2016, but eventually a republican will capture the publics love once again.

You go to college? They give anyone a diploma/GED these days. Thank Bush for the "No Child Left Behind" program, otherwise, on the old system you'd have been 25 year old Leroy taking his high school freshman vocabulary test. Wazzup Leroy?
