How do I find an MJ friendly HVAC guy in a non med state?

Here's my dilemma. Live in a ranch house with full unfinished basement where a grow might be located behind some pandafilm. My central AC unit works, runs, etc, but isnt cooling really at all. With the coming temps in june this needs to change. (not so much a prob in the unfinished basement, but the wife is pretty unhappy without AC upstairs).

I dont do HVAC, so im not sure if it just needs recharged or what, and this weekend when i have time im going to take apart the unit and clean the condenser and whatnot.

But if i can't get it working myself (i can be pretty handy sometimes) where the hell can I find a good discreet HVAC worker in a non-med state. Im at a loss. I have several friends in the trades, carpenters, electricians, etc. but none can point me to a friendly HVAC person. I love the heat, so I dont really care, but I don't want to deal with an overheated angry woman.

Thought about getting a separate window unit temporarily, but i really dont want to go that route for multiple reasons.

Any advice?

That's a big risk man, I would go buy an HVAC book and start studying. I don't know where you'd find a discrete HVAC man, I personally wouldn't risk it. people these days love to talk, I'd use extreme caution with that situation. try to find a close friend if anything.
