You should just concentrate on getting a grow completed and not worry about the outcome its going to be what its going to be. There are no tricks if you are new you need to just get to the harvest and the 600w you have is dummy proof just dont have it too far away the plants, they can handle the heat if your hand can sitting the same distance away, I would keep the 600 18 inches or less above the plants so they dont stretch but be weary of asking questions like you are because you are sure to get a lot of "tricks" instead of just watering only when needed and keeping the lights at correct distance and get a fan blowing on the plants. Outside of this you are getting into the "Tricks" that many vet growers may suggest but you are also going to get a lot of kids giving bullshit advice and then you find that they arent even growing anything they usually have a friend that knows everything and has been growing for 40 years, you can usually tell this type of poster by how angry they get at other suggestions from people who actually grow marijuana. A 600 is the best light IMO as 1000 is overkill and generates too much heat for the lumens it outputs. Good luck and read as much as you can before asking general questions that are sure to have all sorts of people telling you crazy things. Just don't over fert or over water and you will get through to harvest and depending on your conditions you will learn your own tweaks which may only work in your environment. People may offer advice that only seems to work for them in their region or climate. Looking at the dimensions of the tent you are planning to grow in your biggest concern will be ventilation as that 600 is going to heat up the tent big time, you will most likely need to get a cool tube to contain most of the hot air from the lamp and make sure it exhausts outside. If you already have the tent you should set it up and turn on the lights with thermometer in there to get your temps under control before beginning the grow, this is much easier to deal with before you start growing and find out the hard way that the heat in your tent is stunting the growth. Ideal conditions will make your plant very happy and you will end up with the fat buds you are after, remember you cant force it just let it do its thing and you will learn how to push a little bit more with the fert levels to get more out of your harvest but as a new grower its very easy to "over" do it and stunt your plants growth rate where as if you just leave it alone and water when needed it will tell you what it needs once you learn what things look like by reading and not making the mistakes yourself. As you can tell I have just wake and baked and this is the first post I noticed. Good luck man and let us know how your doing along the way

You need to learn how to crawl before you walk, although some kids walk first. Just shoot for a good first grow, as you gain experience you will get better, like just about anything else in life.... Don't expect 1 gram per on your first grow, if you do it, congrats but that is extremely rare with no prior knowledge of growing plants (any plant) INDOORS.

i really like what super had to say... really solid advice there.. i agree completely with what they had to say.. your first grow you shouldn't worry about how much you yeild, but rather how much you learned that you can use to improve your future grows.. its a never ending process of learning what the plants need and how to provide it to them..

Agreed, just focus on getting a couple of successful grows under your belt. On a sidenote: 600 grams from a 20"x60" space would be monumental task for even the most seasoned grower.

For heat, i dont have to worry becuase im using 600 wattsof LED. I have 2 strains that have been in veggetive mode for almost 2 month. Low stressed trained in 5 gal buckets both are really bushy and same hieght. im planning on doing a scrog with the 2 plants inside the tent. Would that be enough? For 1 gram per watts?

Nothing against LED's, but I don't think you're going to see 1 gram per watt using them. As a new grower, no - you won't see a gram per watt. Many experienced growers never see a gram per watt.
