how do i grow using bubbleponics

i made a system out of a big tub with a lid i have a pump and air stone the net pots and hydroton. i have everything ready but i dont know how much to fill the tub with water being i only have the air stone to bubble ... would i have to fill it all the way so the plants sit in the water or keep them a little bit way from the water. any help is great this is just something i wanted to try i've been growing in soil i just wanted to try this but i dont know what im doing.... can anybody tell me anything about this system i no nothing about it like how much nutes when to change the water how much water to use preety much everything
