How do I harden my plants off when I move them outside ?

I use a shaded area and gradually move them into full sunshine. You can then plant in the ground or leave them in a grow bag. If so I suggest a extra large bag, you don't want them getting blown over in a storm when they get top heavy with colas. They still may get stressed some when they go outside, but will recover and be even stronger.
How long do you keep them in the shaded area before moving them into full sun ? And I’m using 25 gal smart parts

Put them out when it's below zero till they freeze, they become really hard at that point.
Seriously tho, put them out for 1/2 hour each day for a few days, then 1 hour, 2, 4, 6 then your good. Takes a few days for them to acclimitize to sunshine, temperature, wind. Don't put them out when the temperature is different between inside and out by more than 7c, do it during mid afternoon when temps are higher.

After I adjust the indoor lighting to get closer to the outdoor schedual...
I stick them in a semi shady spot for 4 days to a week. Usually the spot I pick will get some full sun for 30 mins a day or so.
After that they are good to go in their final spots.

How do you adjust your lighting ? I’m at 17/7 right now . Should I start working it back ?

Just slowly dial it back til it gets to where you want it.
Make sure not to plant too early or you will induce early flowering.
