how do i kno wene i need to start flowering i have things coming out of my steem where the leave an steem meet wat do i doo????

you can start flowering whenever you want, but most growers like to wait until the plant shows maturity (preflowers, staggering nodes, etc) before switching to 12/12. The longer you veg, the more branches the plant has. More branches = more buds

This is what I wait for, then I go 12/12

if you want your plant to reach its full potential in yield, you have yo veg it untill it showes alternating nodes, wich depending on strain can take 6 weeks plus.

How old are you?

You need to do several things. Read the FAQs, the guide to growing, get the weeds growing in the cup with your plant out, lose the backyard dirt and replace with good soil. That poor thing looks like shit. You really need to do some research if you're going to keep it alive. People will only help you so much and will not hold your hand the whole way. Get some minimal set up supplies until you learn a few things. Start with a better pot made for plants that will drain and give the roots some room to grow and some lights. The different lights,soils, and nutrients you can choose from are covered in the Guide to Growing. Look at the thread "How to Grow Marijuana" in this section.
