how do i prepare plot before winter snow??

i live in canada and i want to do the most i can to get ready for next season, what can i do to the existing soil to make it ready to be mixed with my store bought soil in may??

add lime?? what else??

you can do it in the spring but now is good too. add compost, worm castings, manures and guanos. Blood meal and bone meal aswell. also add a shit load of promix or sunshine mix. any peat based mix. coco fiber too. if you do all this now you garden will be ready for planting at the end of may and you wont even have to fertilze over the summer just add water. That what I did last year and I got 2 lb's easy. I live in Ontario
