How do I properly wire a HPS lighting system?

I currently want to order a 600 wat hps bulb and a 400 wat mh bulb. I will be using this ballast, but I don't know how to properly set it up.

I don't want to order everything and end up missing one piece of equipment that will take one month to ship, so Im asking here just in case.

lets say I have the bulb, a reflector and the ballast, what else would I need? Do i need a mogul socket? Do I need any special wiring?

Sorry if these are really basic questions, I tried searching for a guide on how to install HID lights but I couldn't find anything

you will need a mogul socket IF the reflector didnt come w/ one but it is a common part at any electrical supply house.
how about a timer?

Your reflector should already have a mogul socket and cord on it. If not, you can buy the socket pre-wired on a cord and install it into your reflector.

Once you have a complete reflector, socket, and cord all you need to do is install the correct watt bulb and plug the reflector into the ballast.
You don't need to hand wire anything.

EDIT: and as mrmadcow stated, a timer. A HEAVY DUTY TIMER , not the light duty timers that are made to turn on a table lamp. To light duty of a timer, it will burn out, or get welded into a permanent on condition, or could catch fire.
