how do I vent and filter 2 rooms with 1 fan? +rep

I have a limited budget and I am trying to get the most out of my fan. I have an 8" max fan (675 cfm), And I have 2 spaces that need ventilation. My flowering room Is 6'x8'x7', my veg room is 4'x8'x7'. I am trying to get both spaces adequately vented. I would like appx 70% of the venting to be directed to the flower room. I have had a few suggestions already

One suggestion was to filter the air on the exhaust side of the fan. which i heard is less efficient. I like this one though because it is easier to control where the fan sucks most of the air from.

another one is to build a small box around the filter and put different sized holes/flanges on the outside of the box to vent from different locations.

and the last idea was to install the filter in the flower room and use a passive duct from the veg room so that when the flower room needs cooling the veg room gets it done as well. the problem is controlling how much cfm comes out of the veg room.

any suggestions would be helpful!

why not mount your fan on your filter and get a 5"x5X8 Y pull the air out of each room with the 5" ducting and put make up air holes in the rooms. You can get a flapper to ajust the flow

Pull the air thought the ducting and the y into your fan and carbon filter. I cant explain it any other way Im very good at describing things.

I think what he means is to mount your exhaust fan right on your carbon filter. Then have a Y coming off your fan or something like that.

Anyways, I vent both rooms with one fan also. All you have to so is make a hole of some sort in between both rooms and make sure it is light tight. I made my own contraption but you can always buy something like this.

Not to be mean but all of your ideas have lots of things that can go wrong and cause problems. I think the best way is to draw air from one room to the other through passive intakes. I just used cardboard and bent them in various ways so light cant get through, but air can. Works perfect for me.

Ok so i have come up with this same issue and after alot of thinking i have come up with what i think is going to be working the best. I am going to be putting up a 2x4 wall in the middle of my one big room to make two smaller rooms veg/flower the veg room will have the bottom 6" of the wall with nothing on it then from 6" and up it will be a sheet of plywood or black poly going up to the ceiling then on the other side the flower room i will have poly again from the floor up to about 3 feet then i will have a 6" gap in the poly where the air can get into the next room and then put poly from your 6" gap to the ceiling and the reason i have it this way is that the light from the veg room will not get into the flowering room but with a little light leaking into the veg room will be no problem what so ever since you have have 24hrs of light in your veg room if you want. i have not got my wall up yet but i will have it done soon ill let you know how it goes and that will also give plenty of air flow for both rooms. sorry about the never ending sentence but you get the point lol and feel free to ask any questions.
