How do you capture pollen?

theres gotta be a better way than trying to pick it off the leaves

How are you? Hope you had a nice day. My way to collect the pollen is risky if your female are in the same room. I would suggest this method if those males are isolated.

What i do is ;

Take an envelope or pills bottle and put it right under a branch right under the pollen and give a little TIC! with the finger to make it fall in the recipient you took. Do that until you collect the pollen from the whole plan. Label the envelope with the date and time you harvested the pollen. Use a different envelope for each strain and be sure to do that with a distance within each strain to avoid mixing them while moving and shaking the plant.

Ps: I will let more experienced people answer you for the part where plant are all in the same room.

you should be able to simply look for the sacs that are about to open up and cut em off and store em in tin foil or something.

Put a bag over it. Seal it good. Shake the everliving shit out of it. Throw away the plant and enjoy your pollen!

Pollination can be done the same way. Take a little sample of pollen and put it in a small bag, wrap the bag around one branch you want to seed, seal it, shake it, remove carefully and enjoy breeding!

or cut the branch with the desired sacs before they open.... place it in a jar of water as if it were a rose in a vase. it will take its course and you can move it to another room before they open.

One of the mods here has a thread (pretty old) about how to get the pollen, and how to apply it later. I will see if I can locate it.

let the plant mature and drop it's goods, carefully put a plastic bag over the whole plant, cut the stem and shake upside down like crazy! Beat that bastard up until most of the pollen is in the bag. Remove the plant from the bag as you gently shake the remaining pollen dust into the bag (let settle hanging upside down hanging by the stem and bag wrapped around it before removing the plant from the bag). Cut the bag's edges until it folds out. Use a smooth surfaced scraper (such as a credit card or a spreader for bondo) and round it all up.

Edit: use a mask to avoid blowing the pollen away.
