How do you clean your pipes?

how do you keep your glass clean?

when i can get it i use something called Grunge Off.
it comes in a black bottle, and is re-useable.
just pour it back in the bottle.

goo gone is similar and works too.
they sell it at the home depot.

if i cant get either of those i use a salt based mix.
dr. greens.
orange chronic.
formula 420 works also.

drop in some solvent.
shake for about 3 minutes.
rinse out in the sink.

luckily, me sink has a sprayer on a hose.

the downtube goes in a gallon size zip lock.
takes a lil more shaking than the bong its self.
i polish it with a pipe cleaner.

when i do clean the bowl pieces i scrape them out first.
black gold gets me baked.

total cleaning time, 30 minutes.

91% isopropyl. It's cheap, efficient and reusable

I bought a long, stiff, thin wire from a hardware store, and cut and bent it into several scraping tools. They're kinda like lockpicks. Heat your pipe by hitting a lighter (kinda gross but necessary) helps the glass scrape clean. After I smoke the resin, I use 99% alcohol and large grain salt to get it clean. I put the solution and pipe in a tuperware and shake and soak for a while, rinse with clean alcohol. Only gets it about 99% clean, hard to get behind the bowl, but what the hell, i'm going to smoke out of it soon anyway.

With a bong, I scrape dry res out of the bowl, get it stuck to a wire, then scrape the tube to collect the wet watery stuff. Last time I pressed this mushy stuff between a folded index card and got a dry disk to smoke. I like to use the child safety that we all pull out of our bic lighters as a screen for smoking resin.

pipes need scraping, and behind the bowl can be impossible.

i recommend a "springy" wire instead of a "bendy" wire.

It might sound kind of strange, but when cleaning my bong with alcohol I put a handful of peagravel in with it and swirl it around. It works well to get those stubborn spots.

sounds like a good idea to me.
the gravel works as an abrasive, like the salt in some folks recipe.
i put a hand full of .177 bb's in there once.
worked o.k.

I use 91% rubbing alcohol with salt

I've also used denture cleaner which works well

It works for me. I'm pretty cheap though. I got negative rep for that post.

maytag dishwasher for glass.
I quit the acrylic bongs, My last one dissolved when I cleaned it with Iso.

i use nail polish remover and q-tips, but i only have to clean my glass slide

alchol and rice shake it upppppp...!

BLUE CORAL wheel magic... let soak 5 minutes rinse with hot water... clean as the day you got it... only use on glass pipes and rinse throughly... gets soap scum out of the shower w/o scrubbing too!

Wow - you guys make your life difficult.

I clean my pieces often - I cant stand the taste of dirty glass - I take the stem / bowl out put them in a cereal bowl - pour some rock sea salt in the top - pour 91% Isopropol Alcohol cover the mouth piece with on hand and stick finger in downtube and swirl the alcohol / salt in the reservoir. I then turn the bong upside down and wait for salt to settle on my hand - the I pour the alcohol back to the res allowing the salt to scrape the sides. Do the a few times while rotating bong. Now I shake the shit out of it to get any trouble areas.

Now that my bong is clean I pour the alcohol in the cereal bowl. Let it soak for a minute while I rinse the bong off with water. Grab a q-tip dip it in the bowl pick up downtube and swab inside out till clean (may have to use the other side or multiple q-tips). Clean your bowl. Rinse everything off and dry.

It takes me LESS than 2 minutes from start to ready to smoke. If I dry it takes less than 5 minutes.

Pipes are easy. get enough foil to wrap the while lengh of the pipe (you can use seran wrap but you need twisties or rubber bands). Wrap the pipe - get as tight as possible but leave a cone on the mouthpiece side. Get some rock sea salt and find pieces that will fit in the mouth piece try to pour 1/2oz alcohol down the hole - if you cant the cone will catch it and it will fill through the bottom. If your pipe is pretty clean you can just start shaking now while holding the stem firmly with your thumb over the smoke hole - then invert the pipe (over sink) and let the salt fill the stem and rock back in forth while rotating - the salt will scrub the side. If you have a nasy pipe put the whole foil / pipe into a glass to keep it upright and let it sit - change the alcohol as needed.

If you keep your pieces clean - this is such an easy process and your smoke will always taste great.

Alcohol + Salt = < $4

I soak my pipe in isopropol alcohol for a few days in a beer mug... stirring it occasionally. Comes out sparkling clean every time.

these pills fucked me up real bad man idk dude just sleepin pils made me trip i was actually seein shit.....whack

iso and salt in a frezzer bag....keep shacking the shit out of it and get the salt to sift through your pipe....after about 3 rinses your glass looks new...
