How Do You Deal with Weddings, Reunions, Getting Sick, etc while Running your Grow?

My perpetual grow has been going for some years now and so far I haven't had too big of a problem come up, that I couldn't deal with myself. None of my friends know that I grow, so I don't have anyone to fall back on if I need it. In the past I remember having the flu and puking into a bucket all day while I kept my grow going. It sucked, but I had to put in the work or everything would die. Also work full time and am on call so my time gets VERY short.

Like I said, I have always found a way to pull it off. Now I have two weddings, bachelor parties, rehearsal dinners and graduations to attend. My work has now become "backlogged" so to speak. I have not changed the water in my reservoirs for three weeks now and this weekend will be week number four because of the wedding, dinner, reception, etc. If my plants get sick of die because of all this I am going to be very bitter and hate my friends for it, lol.

I can't talk about this stuff with anyone, so I came here to rant about it. I know that a lot of people here run large grows or work full time and grow on the side. How do you keep everything on track when you have events you must attend or when something unexpected happens?

I fill the bucket with water and leavve it for a week.

I find a trusted sitter safe. Not just to prevent the plants from dying but if something happens and maybe a fire starts. Your grow will be exposed and that is much worse than losing your plants. I am going away in 6 weeks and I already have my sitter lined up. Just going to be for a week and the res or anything does not need to be changed. (I use the Al. B. Fuct every 2 week method.) He is there to make sure everything is fine, bulbs haven't died, pumps are running, nothing out of the ordinary. I am paying him in 2% of the product, he is happy as shit with that much haha

In a pinch , I have my son cover for me.

How does one find a trusted sitter? I thought the first rule of grow club was to never talk about grow club. I personally know a few other growers, but have never spoke with them about my grow. They have no idea. I don't trust anyone. My thinking is that if they ever got busted they could roll on me.

My best friend also grows, so when these things come up....and for me they do often, Just got back from Florida, leaving for Colorado in a couple days. He takes over.

I don't need to pay him anything, he's willing to do it for free, as would I.
